You can achieve healthy looking hair by going back to basics with the following tips!
- Always detangle hair using a tangle teaser before washing - hair is weaker once wet so not detangling beforehand can lead to more hair fall out
- Avoid washing hair daily, instead aim for every 3-4 days
- Concentrate shampoo on the roots and use fingers to massage and cleanse the scalp
- Reduce the amount of heat styling and use of chemical treatments such as hair dye
- Try having 3 or 4 days per week when your hair is tied up to avoid accidental breakage from excess brushing and heat styling - you could also try adding some coconut oil to the ends then tie your hair in a low bun for a few days
- Avoid thin hair ties and opt for soft, thicker scrunchie-style ties
- Pop hair into a loose braid whilst sleeping
